Tink
Tomorrow Friday Nov 7th I will fire up the Old GMC Suburban and point it north to Ill for a week filmed Bowhunt with the Texas Bow Goddess, then north again for far Northern Wisc near Vilas County Wisc for a bowhunt with a fellow retired US Army Ranger Col, with whom we work with in helping war wounded warriors. He says I can see Canada from tree Stand. After we end the bow season or tag out sooner, we head South for a meeting With Brownie in Barry Ill and maybe Kirk On the way Home I hope to show the Goddess the Fred Bear museum or whats left of it at Bass Pro Shops, and meander south in Time for Thanksgiving. i will be hunting WT for the first time this year. The Goddess got OK from both Docs to bowhunt and pull her bow but she cant lift more than 8# till the steel screws set in her spine and healing process takes over etc. Thanks Norm for the good advice. While I am still a Pup here, I will miss you all. Last few weeks have been rough on me and my nerves are shot from worry about her 2 hospitalizations. We already missed a free bowhunt in Pike CO, ILL with an old buddy , with whom we will visit on the way backWe will be filming the little Goddess and she matches wits with wary old garnly bucks and hopefully she will take a doe on camera. You Midwest guys need to take out more does! As a reward for Carol Pulling thru her twin Ops,I made her PRESIDENT of Tink's Adventurevision video Studios, Inc Established in 1985- Adventurevision is America's oldest hunting film production Studio! I will teach Carol the Film business, so when I "buy the farm" she will have a future and sweat equity in the business. We made videos back when people didn't even have video players! This will be her first Out of State hunt, and a reward for her long hours of practice and arrow making, and should be a lot of fun. I don't think she has ever seen real snow. I have some surprises for my little Goddess. Her first pair of Muck Boots! New small medium size HSS Vest for tree stand hunting. Nikon formally confirmed her Pro Staff appointment while she was in the hospital and sent her a bundle of Nikon's womens ID clothing and some Optics. You know how women love clothing! Then yesterday I got a Call from Sims/Limbsaver folks in Washington State congratulating Carol on her Big buck, and asking if she would like to join the SIMS/Limbsaver Pro Staff. We use Limbsaver gear anyway, so it was a win/win deal. And Tuesday our NON resident ILL Bow archery deer tags arrived. She was thrilled to hear that. I got the Suburban washed, cleaned, and it's empty for once, ready for 5 AM Loading when she arrives. Mobil 1 oil change, lubed, etc.GPS Programmed, XM Radio working, and its sporting new NIKON & SHE SAFARI Body logos that she hasn't seen.Suburban even has 5 new Goodyear Steel tread Winter Mud ties- the last ones were put on in 2001 and were still legal. While its 1990 it chugs along hour after hour at 70 MPH and doesn't drink much oil MOBIL 1. So I wont be around and I don't want any one to think I lost interest, But this Old daddy Rabbit needs some hunting time Adiós, Amigos .....watch your Six, :eek:and take no prisoner's, Tink Nathan Edited November 7, 2008 by Tink
