I disagree .

The United States of America is more than who gets elected to the office of President. Regardless of whom holds the office this is still the best country on the planet.

Well said Fred. While I am disgusted that the American people made what is in my opinion a very poor choice and it may have serious consequences, this is still the United States of America and is the greatest country on the face of this earth. We may be in for a bumpy ride for a few years, but that is what makes us so great is that we can handle it and we will.

I got that in a email, never said it was my views.

I agree we are still the USA and do believe that what doesn't kill us will make us stronger.

But who's to say this won't kill the USA?

Nobody here, including myself, can predict the future but I got a feeling this new president is gonna bring on a lot more hurt than healing.

We'll always be known as the USA just like England and Australia are still known as England and Australia.

I've seen some hard and obnoxious things on here, but this is it. you and anyone else who feels this way are more than welcome to get out of this country. You just disgraced anyone who served and anyone who is currently fighting for this country regardless of what you believe in.

I'm a little league coach and I teach not only the game, but what this great game stands for. We teach the fundamentals, hardwork, and most of all, focus on fun. I truly believe that what we do will help all children to become responsible adults. However, your sick post represents a negative tone. Something I will never in my life tell a young child that our country is dead. This is and always will be the land of opportunity. If you are choosing to be sore about who your country chose, then by all means take the next flight out.

Easy there tex! Its a joke! Like the others have stated, this is still the best country in the world! Bar none! It was only a stab at what this country voted for! It was not a stab at the people for fought for this country!

Its pretty offensive. Not only counter to what our country stands for but also to people like my Grandfather and Uncle. My grandfather fought up the banks of Iwo Jima and saw was of the bottom of Mt. Sarabuchi when the flag went up. My uncle spent 3 years in a POW camp and endured severe beatings. Both of these men voted for President Elect Obama. My grandfather is 82 years old and I would bet my paycheck that if you showed him that picture in jest you would make you regret it.

I have been recieving quite a few offensive emails and text messages over the last couple days. It is really repulsive that people can be so simple minded and hateful.

Well put. It is kind of like the old saying "if you can't take it, don't dish it out". It was alright when it was about Bush, but if it is about Obama... its not funny, or respectful.

You have been a member here for 2 years Ace, in that time you probably could have seen a few slams on Bush that were posted right here on these forums had you participated or followed along. Seems I recall a few cartoons/pictures posted with Bush that were let go that were not exactly accurate or flattering to Bush, but they were maybe a bit humorous I guess. So long as the posts are not distasteful or blatant bashing and so long as they are civil in manner I see no reason not to let them go.

As a service member who has done his time over seas, matter of fact just got back again, TXBUDA you have no idea what our service members think...most I don't have exact numbers but of over the 5000 miltary members where I am stationed or have contact with the consensus was that well over half voted McCain/Palin. We were in aww at how off beat the American people were when voting for your President.

I also watch an Olbermann interview Sarah Palin, the questions he asked her were so much more out of line than any questions asked by anyone to the ObammbinBiden camp but she answered them gratefully and stuck to what makes her her. The GOP's didn't ban interviews with anyone because of questions yet one simply question to Biden from someone in Fl. and she is Chastised. Get ready not only is our second amendment in jeapordy but Hitler may have been resurrected in the form of a democrat.

Did 13yrs in the Army, most of it on Active Duty, been to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bosnia, and Korea to name a few places, and I see nothing offensive about it. Trust me, I would be one of the FIRST ones on here to have a say if I felt it was.
