Turkeygirl
Was shooting my bow Thursday evening, staying in shape, and when walking back from getting my arrow, saw something bright green on the ground and found this: Praying Mantis are my all time favorite insect, I've loved them since I was little, lol:rolleyes: I think it's a female....she was making this weird wooshing sound with her wings or abdomen, couldn't tell and she was wobbly, so I put her in a jar but then she seemed to perk up so later that night I let her go. Figure maybe she had laid an egg sack....

NiteRunner
Cool! We had a little tiny one in the house a few weeks ago, it wasn't even as big as a quarter.

Grant-KS
Anything that eats its boyfriend when it's done with him can't be good...for him at least! Neat pic though!
Tominator
Gotta' say that's my favorite bug too. Good to have in the gardens as they eat bad bugs. Most of them are dead by now having laid their egg cases in September. Can't believe you found one alive.

Jeramie
Got to agree, Grant hit the nail on the head! I concur.... We have those things everywhere down here. I like them too. Its funny when they get defensive and perk up.
