Guest yotalife
I don't know if anyone else has this problem but i got into my stand yesterday overlooking a 13 acre field and my 2 acre food plot and when i got up in it realized that someone had been there and cut a huge patch of saplings down. these tres were blocking my view of part of the field so i could get set to shoot.there was a 15 foot hole so my stand was fully exposed to the field and the plot.this just makes me mad that they would hunt there, but to cut the trees down after walking by the NO TRESPASSING signs. then today moved 550-600 yards to the next field and found someone had been hunting my blind. i even put a sign in this one saying keep out if it ain't yours. anyone got any good ideas beside a game camera to catch them. my buddy at the police dep. said he would find out who they are and tell me if i could give him some info. it sounds good right now. Guest yotalife
I have already had my climber stolen this year. I left it over night to get in quick during bow season came back the next morning pulled the bush back and it was gone. I don't like come-heres. 3 new home went up behind the property a year or so ago. Before i have left my climber on the tree through bow black powder and gun season ant it never got touched. To many disrespectful people!
backwoods07
If you browse around these forums, there are threads filled with people with trespassing problems and possible solutions to them. A game cam might not be the best choice if these trespassers are so disrespectful. You might just wind up losing the cam.
wtnhunt
Hope you catch them. A locked trail cam setup high in a tree set to daytime only so it would not flash would the best way to catch them in my opinion without having to physically be there, don't know if your county sheriff would be willing to deal with the pieces of crap with just pictures though. Might be best to give them a call and see what they have to say since theft is involved.

Guest yotalife
the cops and game warden said i would have to phiscallyy catch them in there and call them and let them get there and they would deal with the trespassing. like they will come running!lol the cops around here usually take their sweet time doing anything. the game warden might respond if he is near. he said he wants to stop all the crap goin on in this area. we have a problem with night hunting. no around my stands cause the neighbors and i keep wierd hours and usually chase them down before they get a shot. around here it take care of your problems. Texan_Til_I_Die
Just one quick note - If you plan to set up a trail camera and use the pics as evidence, make sure you have the correct date and time set on the camera. Otherwise, you've got nothing.

lungshooter
Who ever the land owner is needs to file a report for destruction of private property. If they accept help from the federal forestry program this could lead to big fines for cutting down certain trees. A report will also force law enforcement or you're local game warden to investigate. If they still won't help contact the county sheriff and so on.
csualumni21000
Close entry points or try and make it visible when they park in the area. File reports and call the authorities every time.
Flintlock1776
Just try and figure out when they are there. It happened to me but I was fortunate and had the local DNR officer's cell number and they busted him for trespassing! If that moron ever doesit again in NJ his license is revoked forever. Nice fine in the interim just so he knew it was real. I asked the DNR and they had the guy remove the spikes and stand he snuck in. Had I not mentioned it, I would have extra gear! That's ok, I am just happy he's gone!
