elnor
I'm considering buying my first IR cam after having used two white flash Moultrie cams for a couple years. I haven't been terribly pleased with the Moultries (battery problems), so I'm looking at other options. Specifically, the StealthCam I540IR. Experience or opinions with that or similar StealthCam models would be appreciated. Another alternative would be Cuddeback Capture IR; opinions appreciated on that cam, too. Guest MDBOWMAN
I have the Cudde capture IR and love it. The security, ease of use, and great pictures far outweigh any other camera I have had. The setup is pretty easy and after reading the instruction booklet once you will be on your way! buckbuster11
My brother has the Stealthcam Prowler and does not like it. It's kind of clumsy to setup and lock to the tree compared to our other cams, and it seems like he gets tons and tons of blank pictures. Some of the features are nice though but for the price I probably wouldn't recommend it. That's the only experience I have with Stealthcams for what it's worth. dogdoc
Be sure to also check out the LeafRiver IR camera. I've had one for about 2 ro 3 years now and it does a great job. So easy to use and battery life is amazing.
elnor
Thanks to everyone for your input. I decided to give the Cuddeback Capture IR a try; will have it in the woods starting this weekend.
