crazylegz70
Man, I always here people on here saying that the shot replays in your mind over and over....THEY ARENT LYING....I had a nice 8 point come within 25 yards, stuck him and no arrow to be found....I waited 5 hours and started to look for him....sure enough, 50 yards up the trail we start finding blood.....and it dwindled to nothing within 200 more yards......aggrevating to say the least I know it isnt the first time and im sure it wont be the last...but I hate wounding game and not finding it.... bleh bleh bleh
fly
I know how you feel. I've been there too. Best thing to do is chalk it up as a learning experience and get back out there.
backwoods07
Was there a couple weeks ago...I don't wish that feeling on anyone. I don't think there's anything to say to comfort ya. The pain eventually wears down, haha.
stcif
Did you try to find out if anyone in your area has the ability to assist you using dogs? In NY State there is an organization called Deer Search. http://www.deersearch.org/ Maybe there is one in your state. I'm sure every state has laws on this sort of thing. Problem is they are volunteers that work off donations and they are busy from what I read. Good luck.

wtnhunt
Is a bad feeling for sure. Did you try to find out if anyone in your area has the ability to assist you using dogs? In NY State there is an organization called Deer Search. http://www.deersearch.org/ Maybe there is one in your state. I'm sure every state has laws on this sort of thing. Kind of interesting, there was an ad in a little local shopper paper here couple years ago that in the listing said "lost deer" something to the effect that the person claimed that they could find your lost deer. Think I still have that clipped and on the fridge just in case.
