10acboy Posted January 28, 2005 Report Share Posted January 28, 2005 Well everyone let me tell ya, when it rains it pours. Right before Christmas I had to replace the motor in my truck. That put a major dent in my pocketbook. Then Christmas, another dent. I rant and rave at my wife about turning of tvs, stop turning up the thermostat and if she is cold put on a sweater, well got the electric bill - 245.00 My wife picked up a big screw in her tire so I had to plug the tire and I somehow sliced my hand in the process. Now the blower motor is shot in my truck and the fuel pump is going . More dents! Twice this week I had to lay under the truck and beat on the tank with a hard rubber malet. This is going to be fun, it is suppose to be high in the 20's tomorrow and I have to drop the fuel tank. Next week we are to pay our dues at the Izaak Walton league, which I believe that this will be worth it. My T.V.'s going out, and I also owe our plumber some cash for doing some work in our basement. Not to mention building a deck for a friend of mine, I cut through the cord of my circular saw with the circular saw. All of this has happened since about two weeks before Christmas. My pocketbook looks like it went ten rounds with Mike Tyson (when he was in his prime of cours) So the moral of the story, make sure you try to stick a little back each week so you have a little cushion to fall back on. Unfortunately that cushion was is about gone and it's hard enough to save with today's prices, not to mention two kids and a new house note. He had one eye, three legs, half an ear, no tail and had been neutered three days before all that happened to him..... Sure hope you get yourself out of that pickle..... Then all of a sudden, it starts to get better and better. When it turns around is when you can really be thankful for what you have. You have earned and gone through some tough times!
