lil hunter
I had planned on buying an AR-15 for myself as a birthday present back in September. I never could get the time back then to go buy it, so I've just been saving up a little more money since then. I finally got the chance today, so we made the trip down to Whittaker Guns in Owensboro, which is about the best place in the world.lol. I was really wanting a Rock River standard A2, but they didn't have any. They actually had a very small selection of RR guns, but oh well. I ended up coming home with a Bushmaster A3 Target, which is a very similiar model. Can't wait to go poke some holes with it. I have a question though, I screwed up and bought 2 mags that don't fit this gun. All of their mags were just labeled "AR15, .223" or something similiar, so I assumed they would all work. Can anyone tell me what extra mags will work in this gun?
wtnhunt
Don't know about the mags Tim, I would have assumed that the .223 AR-15 mags were for the most part universal. Congratulations on the bushmaster. Post some pics when you can.
Adjam5
Welcome to the Black rifle club...Muhahhahhahhhhaaaaa:D Congrats on the purchase. I too am surprised that the mags won't fit. Go to www.cheaperthandirt.com and pick up a few. Most Gov't contract mags should work. That is odd that they don't fit. www.ar15.com is a great place for info. csualumni21000
They should fit. Go back and ask why they don't fit.
lil hunter
The clips I bought said MSAR .223 on the package. They looked very similiar, so I just assumed they were right for the AR-15. I just did a search for MSAR on google and found Microtech Small Arms. They have there own assault rifles, and the clips on them look just like the clips I bought, except they are clear. I guess those clips are just a little different than the AR-15 clips and they don't fit. I'll probably just buy a few more locally, and return those the next time I get a chance. I bough the gun and stuff in Owensboro, which is about an hour and a half from here, so I dunno when I'll make it back down there. But oh well, I'm still excited about the new gun. I'll probably go shoot it after school tomorrow.
Grant-KS
Congrats lil! ARs are a blast! They really gobble up the ammo though, can get pretty expensive!
Rem308
Sounds like a nice gun...let's see some pictures of the new one. Being the A3 Target model, should be a good shooter.
