JJL
A few of you in the forums had the pleasure of meeting Joseph at the antelope hunt in Wyoming this past September. The rest of you might want to. If you'll afford me the chance to brag a bit I'd appreciate it. Our local school district here in Ridgway Colorado is extraordinary. From the building itself to the people who work there. It's all about education and advancing the students. Our Vice-Principal/Counselor is named Jeff Williams. He's an X-Army man who gets his life's joy from helping students reach their full potential. I recieved a phone call from an unusually excited Mr. Williams yesterday. It seems that recently the students took their ACT exams and his practice is to have the Sophomores take them as well as the Juniors to get an idea as to where they stand in their academic future. I was aware of the testing, but until his call unaware of the results. It seems that Joseph scored a 31.................32 is max and unheard of. I remembered getting a 27 and thought I was smart. I think we've got a bright one here. He had the top score in his school, the top score in the state, and is amongst the top 1% in the country....................as a SOPHOMORE. We've got 2 1/2 years to go. We knew he is exceptionally bright, but to this extreme is unimaginable. Mr. Williams informed me that the Colleges will be calling soon and to be prepared for everything. Harvard-Yale-Stanford-MIT, full ride anywhere he wants to go...............God is AWESOME. He'll be attending school with books in one hand and his bow in the other. And will probably have a hat on with a pin on it that says "bowhunter"...........................and to think..........you knew him when he was a nobody. Personally.................I'm pulling for the University of Alaska at Anchorage.
