AvonLKHunter
We hunted down on my property in southern Ohio the last couple days and seen alot of rut activity going on. Last night had a one of the largest bucks I have ever had a shot at give me a quartering away shot at 30 yards. Took the shot I swear by the way he bucked and took off out of the woods I made a good hit, I was so pumped got down at dark to start looking for my buck and found my arrow with NOTHING on it. It was a complete MISS.. Boy am I depressed now. Can't wait to get back out in the woods now!!!
tp793
It happens. Maybe a case of the shakes? Good luck getting another shot at him.

Born4it
Well you've got it out of your system now! Get back on the horse and show us the pictures when you get him! Take care, Ryan
pointing_dogs_rule
Two good things: 1. it was a complete miss 2. hopefully you will have another chance at him 30 yards is quite a shot at a quartering away deer. not much room for error, probably why you missed. good luck to all the dog

Rhino
Big ones like that just do something to me so unfortunately I've missed my share of big ones too. I know it's not easy but you just have to put it behind you and go on. He's still out there and probably wasn't even spooked. You'll get another crack at him. BTW, I got a text from a friend hunting in IL this morning. He missed a 10 pt. at 15 yards this morning by catching a deflection off a small limb. His arrow was stuck up in a tree on the other side of where the deer was. He's sick too but he was back in a tree this afternoon.
