Good, Have not been hunting as much as i would like college student. Pa season ends saturday so im hunting all day friday and sat the rain is not going to help but still should see some movement.

The farm we manage has some good deer on it. Being in Pa its hard to keep big deer alive to get to the age structure we want there are 4 hunters that hunt the farm. My father shot a broken up 125 3.5 year old My neighbor shot an 11pt 4.5 year old that scored 152 a beutiful Pa buck I personally have passed on a few 2.5 year olds I had a mid 140 inch deer within 40 yards wed. morning but never presented a shot.

Hope you are having a good season as well looking forward to seeing all about them on your DVDs they are always awesome. Good luck and God bless!

Hi Kandi, would call it a success so far. My oldest daughter and wife have both scored here, got my daughters youth hunt on tape. I am still hunting for a decent deer, only seen one that kind of interested me so far but never had a shot.

Youth hunt, if you have a few minutes you can watch the video clip from the link below.

Congratulations everyone!! What great bucks you all have taken. Great seeing the ladies harvesting bucks too!!! Keep the pictures coming. Last night Vicki C stopped by on her way to Colorado to meet up with Ralph for their annual colorado whitetail hunt. They were already arguing on how got to hunt out of Vicki's 200" treestand!! I am sure they will have big reports!!

Take care

Kandi

Season's been going good here, but could be a lot better if the big boys would stop long enough for a shot or come close enough. Haven't had the amount of time to hunt like I'd like with school, but I've put two (doe and a spike that needed to go. This guy kept ruining my hunt one evening had spikes under 7 inches which allows for use of a doe tag in iowa. I hated to shoot him at first, but then when I took a second glimpse I could tell this wasn't a 1 1/2 year old spike but a 2 1/2 year old we guessed him at. )in the freezer so far and could have put a few more down, but am holding off for that buck. Seen some decent ones couple 130's couple 120's, and one 170 inch 10 the last time I was out, to bad school really picked up and I was unable to hunt last weekend, so I'm hoping he's still wanting to walk by my stand again.

Know there are plenty of good bucks in the area...It's Iowa. Just need to get some more time in the stand and hopefully thanksgiving week will allow that to happen. Best of luck to everyone.

It has been ho hum for me, and good for my oldest son so far.

My son has taken 3 deer so far(button, spike, doe), 2 with the bow and his 1st with the gun. I have taken 2 doe, one with the bow and one with the gun. There is a LOT of venison in this house presently:D. We still have 3 weeks of deer season left here in NY, so I still have hope for some horns. I will be heading back up to deer camp after the Turkey dinner:)

Good luck to you and Don this season and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

WOW!! All of you are doing awesome! Kandi, I think you started something here!! :) There are some great deer being shot!! Congrats to all!! :) How come you didn't post up your Iowa bow buck Mrs. Kisky?? I am sure everyone would like to see that pig!!

Ralph and I didn't fight too much over who got to hunt out of MY stand in CO! :) The bucks were tied down with the women, so it was a little slow! :( I was able to take a beautiful mule deer while hunting from a tresstand!! He was really into his girlfriend and paid no attention me!! :)

Good luck to everyone!!

Vicki C! :)

Holy smokes, there's a plethora of dandy bucks being shown here. Nice going, everyone.

I got a 4x4 whitetail near the end of October that I was happy with, but the highlight of the year was the 'buckee antelope hunt' in September. I'm surprised we haven't seen several of the successful hunters on this thread; perhaps they'll show up soon.

This is the one I got, and it was more fun than putting socks on a wet rooster.

Bow season has been a bit slow this year, passed on a 120" in early november. Seemed to be hit or miss, Ive hunted several counties to where the rut seemed non existent. I seen 7 does two of which where caring fawns in early november. A county over and it was just exploding with rut activity. First season shotgun kills where down 14,000 from last year, alot of that has to do with 10-12% of Illinois corn crop that was still in. 59% where bucks as apposed to 62% last yr.

I was fortunate enough to harvest this 150 class 12pt on opening night of first Illinois firearm season. Long story short, I was actually heading out to one of my other hunting areas when some of the guys that shotgun hunt it where walking the ground so I headed to my other ground I hunt in the same county. He came through about 4:30, its my biggest to date.
