Adjam5
We have broke records in this home this deer season. Of course we never had this many( soon to be 2 more) collecting venison either:D Between my son Joe and I, we have taken 6 deer. Him 4 and me 2. He shot a HUGE doe on a drive Saturday. I love them does...can't eat the horns, but I have to admit horns would be nice every now and then:rolleyes:. The pickings/opportunities have been slim. Good bucks would not cooperate to commit suicide and walk within 30 yards of Joe or I with a bow. Where we gun hunt there is a 3 on one side rule. So the pickings are even slimmer. We donated 2 deer to the venison donation program and put 4 in the freezer. I'd still say it was a good year and we ain't done yet! Muzzleloading is open til next Tuesday. Dakota
My deer season has been fairly slow, helped a buddy bag a fat old foe after he made a poor shot on her. Pheasant season has been great and my SD pronghorn season was phenominal; I harvested an 8" buck and a nice doe at fifty yards with my .30-06 by 7 AM on opening morning on public land in far northwestern South Dakota! My computer is too slow to post the pics, but Mike should be able to get them on from the e-mail I sent him. Great to have you on Kandi and Vicki! Hey Kandi, Dakota told me to tell you and everyone that he had both goats (8" buck)at fifty yards with the .30-06 on public land in northwestern South Dakota (within five miles of the Montana border) by 7 AM on opening morning. Way to go, Dakota! Good shootin'

Hoosier Hunter
I have had the best season so far since I've been hunting. The second day of bow season I got my first archery deer. Video: Pic: Then, Dec. 8, we had no school, so me and Dad were in the woods with the muzzleloader. Hunting on some public land, doing a two man drive, this big guy came running out of the brush. My first buck, a button buck. Video: http://vimeo.com/2471288 Pic:

Gator
Mine has been up and down. Started off having a stand stolen second week of bow season. Didn't see anything until ML, 3 does, and couldn't get a shot. Opening weekend of gun season, and jumped a deer walking into and then out of my stand location. Finally on that Sun I got a doe, then on Tue shot a nice little 8pt. But the best thing is deer camp. I haven't been able to experience that in quite sometime, and I absolutely love it. Taking those two deer was really the ising on the cake for me.
arrow32
It's been a long season thats about it. A good season tho have saw a ton of deer just nothing I've wanted to shoot yet. Now its almost crunch time and I'm going to come out of this year empty handed its starting to look like but I'm not giving up yet. Will be back out more this week. On nov.16th i shot a 4 1/2 yr. 8 point with my little boy it was a nice buck. Smoked a doe over the weekend. Over all we have had a good season here. Dawg
Mine hasn't been all that great. I have only been able to hunt about 3 days so far since season opened.
