My dad just got admitted to the hospital today with pnemonia (sp) He is in his late 50's and doesn't bounce back to well from being sick. I just talked to him on the phone again and he said "you know what really sucks is that I am gonna be in here all weekend. The last part of the rut I can hunt." He is always busy with work and can't seem to find much time to get out. I was gonna head back up there at 1pm but he said the heck your comin up here, get to your stand and kill a monster. haha. He actually told me he would be mad at me if I came up there b4 dark. My game plan is to go out and harvest a monster, then go hang out with dad at the hospital. He has been after a 160 class deer for 2 years. He told me today I better get him b4 he runs infront of someones scope next weekend. So to abide by dads wishes I'm off to the stand. This ones for you daddy!!!

If you all could keep him in your prayers I would greatly appreciate it, but I know he would really really appreciate it!

P.S. I'm trying to get him to get on here, but once again with his work he is always busy!

Good luck to all!

Matt - My Dad is just a few years older than yours and doesn't bounce back fast either when he gets sick. If your Dad is anything like mine, (which he sure sounds like it!) then they are too stubborn to let any illness get them down. ;) My Daddy had half a lung removed several years ago and it hasn't gotten the best of him yet. Tell him to get well soon that way he can get back out in the deer woods and put the smack down on a monster! That is if you don't beat him to it! ;)

Prayers sent out for your Daddy from Nova Scotia and West Virginia!

Just thought I would hop on here quick b4 I head up to the hospital. Well didn't lay the smack down tonight but.... a monster 10pt I have been hunting for 2 years, have a matching set of sheds from last year, walked right under my dads stand, 10 yards from it. I can see his stand from the other side of a bottleneck I was hunting and looked in the binos and yup there he was standing with his nose to the air. Called dad right away and he told me to chase after him and put him down. I laughed and said he's yours when you get back out here. So I hung up the phone and had a few nice deer come in but no shooters. Just nice to see a mature buck doing his thing tho. Well time to round up some stuff dad wants and head up. Thanks for the prayers everyone I will passs them along to him! I will pass along the hi Randy! Thanks again everyone!

Dads home today!! I had to take his camo away from him today for the evening hunt. He kept telling me he was fine. He said yea im fine i wanna go hunting. I told him ya I want you to go hunting to but I also want you to be healthy, and for you to know your grandkids, welp that worked and he stayed home and watched hunting on tv while i went out and tryed to put the smackdown. And well yea as you can tell no bucks hit the dirt tonight. But did see more chaseing then i have all season in one night. All in all it was a good night. Dad's gonna be out in the woods in a day or two. Thanks again for all the prayers everyone!!! I love this place!
