oldreloader
I'm in the market for a new muzzle loader.I've narrowed it down to the CVA Optima, CVA Kodiak Pro, CVA Wolf,Knight Shadow,Knight Rolling Block,T/C Omega, or Traditions Persuit. I would appreciate any input from anyone with experience with any of these models.Thanks.
clrj3514
i have the CVA Kodiak Pro and i absolutely love it. got a great deal on it from Sportsman's Guide and it shoots very well and set up quick. it is also very deadly
bruse
I have 2 traditons pursuit muzzle loaders. I love both of them. I got the second one at walmart on clearance for 140 for the wife. It is stainless/camo. bruse
DocMort
Out of those suggestions you chose i would go with the Optima or the Omega, The optima you can put different barrels on and it shoots very smooth. the omega is just overall a very nice ml
Flintlock1776
I have CVA and Remington. I'd stay away from those ML's that use proprietary loading caps. I like it to be able to accept caps without a the fussing around you get with Knights
hoosierhunter
I have the Traditions Pursuit XLT and haven't shot a ML that I like better and I've shot the kodiak and the omega...This gun fits me perfect. I have it with the thumbhole stock and I have shot it out to 200 yards and group at 5 inches at that far and that's with pellets. If I went to loose powder I'm sure I would tighten that up...I shot TC 250 grain shockwaves out of it. BTW killed a doe this weekend with that load and dear god was it devestating. More than I've ever seen for a load.
EKYhunter
I'd go with TC. In my opinion, TC makes a better quality rifle than the others you mentioned.
Hoosierbuck
I have Knights (several) and a T/C, both are good brands. I would recommend that you go with one of them. HB
oldreloader
decision all but made Thanks for the input. It looks like it's gonna be the CVA Accura. It felt the best to me. Now I gotta decide on whether I want the black/blue model or the camo/ss.

oldreloader
loads I'll start with 100 grains of Pyrodex pellets and 240 Grain Shockwave bullets. It worked good in the TC Black Diamond I had. I've never used he 150 grain powder charge. Most that have say they aren't as accurate as the 100 grain charge. When I get my Pyrodex used up I'm going to try switching to the Triple 7.It might make cleaning easier.
