QDMAworks4me
They look pretty sweet, will have to see them when they come in, but will have a hard time trading the Drenalin in on one.

HUNTINGMAN
I dont think Just my opinion, but I think the switchback xt is the last good bow that mathews has built.I hve not liked the slim limb bows since they came out,I have been hearing alot of talk lately about the dxt being a noisyer bow than it should.I think mathews has taken ideas from pse on the monster limbs and I cant beleive that they came out with a two cam bow after being the best known single cam maker out there.I think they are going in the wrong direction with the new products,I will probably not be buying another mathews even though I am dedicated to them and I love my xt.I will more than likely be going back to bowtech when I decide to get a new bow, hopefully it wont be no time soon. layin on the smackdown
I'm sticken with the switchback XT...i tried to do a trade in with the XT when the Drenalin came out and that was the dumbest thing i have ever done. I had the most problems with the drenalin when it came to shooting consistently. I would have to move my sights every other day and i wounded 2 deer in one week...traded it back in for the XT and never had a problem. it'll be hard to get me away from her. I have heard a lot of great things about the DXT though, and the monster and the reezin are some fast flyin suckers: reezin 340 IBO and monster 360 IBO...
layin on the smackdown
I agree with HUNTINGMAN!!!!! XT all the way
bghunter777
The Reezon looks amazing the mcpherson looks nice as well i am not a huge fan of short brace heights but the 6.5 would not be terrible i would have to shoot both and make my decision. I was not planning on buying a bow for awhile but these really do look good. Mathews / Mcphearson reunite and Matt does it again!
Chrud
It would be worth your time to go to Mathews website and read about why they created the "McPherson Series" dual cam bows. Just remember, these two dual cam bows aren't being marketed as "Mathews Solocam", but the "McPherson Series". Matt McPherson made several dual cam bows in the past, just never under the Mathews name. And McPherson bows were dual cam bows also. A little reading on the subject will answer all your questions. I like the Reezen 7.0. But, I'm not going to be upgrading my Switchback. I applaud Mathews, they produced another great line-up for 2009. EKYhunter
It will be interesting to see how these new bows are performing and what peoples thoughts are 3 or 4 months down the road. As others said, I'll stick to my XT for now.

Adjam5
The new bows are nice. I find no need to upgrade, my 04 Outback kills deer no problem. I'm still a Mathews guy:) I never liked those poo poo twin cams. Mathews should come out with the "Buyback" They had the Outback and the Switchback. Buyback the old bows on trade ins towards new ones. Edited November 21, 2008 by Adjam5
ultratec1
The funny thing is the reason that the new bows are not being classified as "Mathews" is because in 2003 Dave Watson was on a video that was sent out by Mathews to all their dealers explaining why a cam.5 system is junk and could never be a reliable set up (same year that Chance Beaubouef won vegas with the cam and half along with 7 others shooting a hoyt cam.5 in the top 12:rolleyes:) It also talked about there being no need for a dual cam bow. Looks like someone is back pedaling and putting the "McPhearson" Monster in a diffrent name so that way it won't sting so bad. Don't get me wrong, Mathews has a done alot for the archery world but this time IN MY OPINION they stepped on themselves with the dual cam. The single cam 340fps bow is amazing that they can get that speed out of a solo cam bow. Hope they didnt sacrifice smooth draw and no shock for speed. Now someone go shoot one and let us know what you think;)

They are being classified as Mathews, McPherson is just a series of them. The McPherson name has been around for a while, and when Matt owned them (before selling the brand to Pearn I think i was) they produced Duel Cam bows. He just recently bought the McPherson name back, and is now producing the same thing he did a long time ago, a fast duel cam bow. 5 years ago is 5 years ago...I'm guessing whatever they said (if it was said), they said to sell more solocam bows. Why would they promote a cam-1/2 or duel cam system when they didn't sell any? Edited November 22, 2008 by Michiganbowhunter_SQ2

ruttinbuc
Geez, another year has passed already! Maybe we should have a BOW WARS room. I have a Newberry that is a dual cam bow. No noise, no shock, no problems! Blazing fast and very forgiving... When I need to upgrade.....nah, never mind, no need to upgrade..

Looks like someone is back pedaling and putting the "McPhearson" Monster in a diffrent name so that way it won't sting so bad. Exactly. Like I said earlier, if you do some research and listen to Matt's videos on their website, you'll understand why Mathews created the "McPherson Series" dual cam bows. I'm doubt Matt McPherson ever called a dual cam bow "junk", especially considering he used to make them. And, had the fastest dual cam bow available at one time. In my experience, the single cam is the superior cam system for a bow. I've had no timing or tuning issues with my Switchback. However, I had several timing and tuning issues with my XTEC. A big reason Mathews created the "McPherson Series" dual cam bows is because they thought they could raise the bar on the dual cam market. A lot of archers wants as much speed as possible, and for that you really need a dual cam system. As always the case with Mathews, I'm sure the 2009 line up won't disappoint.
