Joe more than likely that bow wasn't in tune........I've shot several Reezens already and at one shop it felt like it had alot of vibration but no hand shock. The other shop had it tuned though and I felt very little vibration and no hand shock.

Exactly. The bow was probably wasn't in tune.

I haven't had a chance to shoot a Reezen yet, and don't want to until next spring. But, I do expect some vibration/shock. That is to be expected on a bow that fast. The Reezen's are close to 15-20 FPS faster than most single cam bows. I know there was a noticeable difference between an Outback and my Switchback when I first shot them. The Switchback had slightly more shock and vibration, and it is ~10 FPS faster. I'm expecting more shock and vibration with a Reezen, but I think it will go away once tuned and the speed is back down to the 275-280 FPS range with a heavier arrow.

I was shocked when I heard Mathews was putting out a cam 1/2 bow. I remember them saying that dual and cam 1/2 bows were not trustworthy and nobody should ever shoot anything but solo-cams. Now we all know that was just business and advertsing, but it does seem like back peddling.

As for the new bows.......5" brace height.....WOW!!!!! I hope the folks that buy this get themselves a titanium armguard, LMAO. That's not going to be very forgiving, but I bet folks with great form will love it.

I'll stick with my Vectrix and maybe get a Katera or the newest Hoyt for 09.

Sales, Sales, and Sales...........if you notice though those are called the McPherson series.

Matt McPherson made one of the fastest dual cam bows, the Eliminator I think, back in 1988.

I said it before, and I guess I have to say it again. If you take the time to read some of the articles and watch the video interview with Matt, you'll know why Mathews created the "McPherson Series" with dual cams. The single cam is still much more consistent, but McPherson knew he could make a better dual cam bow than what was already on the market.

Mathews listened to their customers. People are wanting fast bows. So, they made two of the fastest single cam bows on the market and two bows that have amazing speed. The McPherson Series will help get some of the shooters who wouldn't shoot a Mathews because they didn't have any true "speed bows".

I have taken the time to listen the what Matt has to say and it still doesnt change the fact that they called a dual cam junk. If you want I can find the interview with Dave Watson where it states this, he did the interview FOR MATHEWS. Irregardless if Matt made it with the McPhearson name it is still a Mathews bow. He has said it and I will try to post an article straight from the cats mouth (Matt) where he stated the dual cam debate. If you really want to split hairs take a PSE X-Force and "McMathews" Monster and lay them on top of each other and tell me what Matt did that was so innovative.

I will say that the thing that I'm very impressed with is the Reezen bows. Anytime you can make a SOLOCAM bow that fast is a very impressive feat.

I really think that this whole speed deal has been blown way outta portion. I'm going to say that way over half of the hunting community can not shoot a 5" BH bow proficiently.

I will probably get slammed for this post and told that I'm bashing but you dress up a goat but its still a goat. :D

Post away. It means nothing anyways. They were promoting their SOLOCAM line, of course they are going to try and make them look better. If you were building and selling one thing, would you not say how much better it is that the other products on the same market?;) I also find it hard to believe they came right out and said "duel cam is junk," I'm betting they came out and gave a few reasons on how or why a single cam is better than the duel cam. But even if they did, it still doesn't change the fact that they were still trying to sell a one cam product.

Of course it is still a Mathews bow, no one is denying that...BUT McPhersonis a new series/line...Like the Mathews SOLOCAM, is a series or line...the Mathews "McPherson" is now a new line.;)

Good ahead and post the video or article this was said in, like I said, 4-5 years later...it means nothing.;)

There is a lot more to a bow than it's looks. The Monster has a different cam system. And, I'd be willing to bet the Monster is much more efficient than the PSE X-Force.

Here is, again, why Mathews created a dual cam bow. This time in text, so nothing is missed...

Why Did Mathews Make a Dual Cam Bow?

Simple… we realized we could raise the bar! With the advent of our new Advanced Vectoring System (AVS) Mathews now builds the fastest most efficient dual cam bows ever tested!

Maybe there is something to this efficiency thing I said above. I guess there is more to a bow than looks.;)

No doubt Mathews will continue to make their mark with single cam bows. But, if you can improve on something your competition is doing, why not give it a try?

Who cares? Bow companies follow each other on what works all he time................If it sells they redesign another companies bow and say it's better. Personally whatever fits in my hand the best is what I am shooting whether it be PSE, Mathews, Hoyt, Bowtech, Diamond, Browing, Bear, Onieda, or whatever. End of story............

YEP,, I totally agree .. ;)

My Alpine was a great little bow, I bought my Hoyt just because it felt good in my hand, and I didn't have to special order it .. ;)
