layin on the smackdown
As hunters, we spend a lot of time thinking about random and useless material when on stand awaiting the unpredictable...The other day, while on stand, i was pondering what it might be like to try and score a 34 pointer, and it went on from there....it would take days... My question is, what does the G stand for in G1, G2 etc.??? all i could come up with was growth...such as growth 1, growth 2 etc... Anyone want to shed some light on this little mystery of mine??? Thanks Dan

Tominator
Look at the Boone and Crockett score sheet and the points are the 7th set of measurements, as in A, B, C, D, E, F, G.

MNhunterr
Wow. When I'm in the stand I basically think of every song that I've ever heard. Or I just picture scenarios that could happen. I do think of some odd stuff in the stand though.

dodge4x4
I'm usually just thinkin' of songs, what I want for lunch or dinner, or any other random useless crap like "If I shot that squirrel with a sabbot slug, what would be left?" Hoosierbuck
I'm usually just thinkin' of songs, what I want for lunch or dinner, or any other random useless crap like "If I shot that squirrel with a sabbot slug, what would be left?" I can offer some anecdotal evidnece on that one...and the answer is maybe half, depending on the hit. I closed out ML season one year during a morning hunt as I had family obligations later. So there I sit, loaded ML, and 3...2...1...season over, need to go home. This tree rat starts barking at me, and I said to Mr. Rat, "You are not so bright as you might think." Then I leveled the .50 cal at his head-BOOM! Hit between the shoulder blades since he was so close, and the wole top half of him kinda stuck to the tree a second or two while the back half fell into the snow. I picked up the back half, which was in pretty good shape, shook it hard one to remove the rest of the viscera, and put him in my pocket. Done.
