Adjam5
What type of traps do you use to get a critter like that?
Dawg
What type of traps do you use to get a critter like that? Not sure what Gus uses, but we use live traps. It has a trigger in the back of the cage that when the hog steps on it the door shuts and waalaa, you got yourself a hog! It's just an oversized coon trap! I have 4 traps, 3 that I made and then one that I bought. Here is a pic of a hog in one of the traps I made

Adjam5
Do any ranch owners trap them to relocate them on high fence ranchs? Or do most ranchers just eliminate them when you get the chance?
backwoods07
I would love these guys runnin around! Maybe I'd get to shoot my bow more than twice a season
Texan_Til_I_Die
Do any ranch owners trap them to relocate them on high fence ranchs? Or do most ranchers just eliminate them when you get the chance? They're either shot or sold to someone who fattens them up and then butchers them. If you ever got caught in these parts releasing a feral hog, you'd probably get lynched.
Adjam5
Do you get any Javelina out there also? They are considered game where as hogs are pests...correct?
