Flintlock1776
Are there any good cross bows in the $500-$750 range, including case, arrow, sight etc. that you would recommend? NJ will allow CB's next season! I got to get one lined up that will do me well. Thanks.
hammerforged
I have been using a Horton Hunter for 12-15 years now. I love this crossbow, with a scope it is a little more expensive than it is with the red dot. Should run you around $575.00.

Flintlock1776
I checked out the reviews on Cabelas. Horton was not getting solid reviews. I may need to look at Excalibur Vortex Crossbow Anyone have that brand?
Shaun_300
Excalibur crossbows are the most popular up here! They are awesome crossbows! The Exomax is the highest model you can get, 220lbs draw weight, 350fps (I think), recurve limb design. I haven't heard a bad thing about them. stevebeilgard
after you find a crossbow, i suggest you contact luke (vermonthunter) and make a deal to buy his crossbow scope...

With the Excallibur bows there are no pulleys and other moving parts that can get messed up.
Flintlock1776
I still have yet to buy one but finally getting closer especially since 10 Point came out with a lower price point CB. I can pull the trigger soon on a Wicked Ridge or hold and save 2x as much and get a 6 pointer. The cheapo in me keep tugging m to go Wicked Ridge. Anyone have Wicked Ridge?
