Guest gridiron73
hi girls, my wife has been really interested in picking up bow hunting over the last couple years. her overall interest is target and 3d shooting to start but eventually get into whitetail and turkey hunting with me. we narrowed her poundage to between 40-50 and her draw length to be anywhere from 23-1/2 to 25 inches. any ideas on a good starter\keeper bow without breaking the bank. gridiron73
LeslieInVA
My husband bought me a Parker Sidekick. The draw weight is 30-40#, but I think you can have the limbs changed out up to 40-50#. I really enjoy shooting it. This is coming from someone who had never picked up a bow before this season! m gardner
My girlfriend tried several (bought and sold) and settled on the Parker "Ladies Bow". She shoots it as well as I shoot my Mathews out to 40 yards. That's probably only because she doesn't choose to shoot any further (saves me from further embarrassment!!). The bow is set at 40 pounds and the arrows need to be over 300 grains to be legal so the trajectory isn't very flat or she'd be shooting further. From my experience she'll learn faster if you find a female coach. We don't communicate on the same level I found out. Mark

MHendrix
I just bought my wife the Hoyt Kobalt this year. She absolutley loves it. It looks just like my Katera and almost just as fast. It is a very good bow.
Hoyt fanatic
The Hoyt Kobalt is a good idea. A Hoyt Selena is a good choice too if you can find one. Its discontinued but it shouldnt be that hard to find. Hope this helps.
