muggs
...this room was fun? OSU vs. Michigan week. Big game between Oklahoma and Texas Tech and the same three threads keep reguratating. I miss John Boy.
Tominator
We need that DB from Alabama to drop in and start popping off about West Ba' God.
dogdoc
i think it's going to be a long time before that matchup means a thing. Michigan is hurting really bad and I don't see a quick fix happening.
buckbuster11
I'm still here, just not as much. I guess a real job will do that for you. What can I say anyway? The Steelers are on top, the Penguins are on top, Penn State is on top except for the little mishap in Iowa, and the only guy that can talk junk on me for that is to much of a crybaby so he put me on the ignore list. So, what else can I say? Oh muggsbow that reminds me, I am going to laugh you out of this forum when your boy Savage gets fired because of some DB that works for a Pittsburgh radio station. Maybe we should start a thread on that.

Chrud
This room needs for dirt track racing threads. Now that would be edge of your keyboard excitement.
muggs
Keep dreaming sunshine. It's going to happen. They've already made contact and Cowher has been sited looking at homes in Strongsville, which is a nice suburb of CTown. I'll be shocked if it doesn't actually. Reportedly, he's going to try and bring a lot of the Steelers front office personal along with him. With the Rooney's getting ready to sell, they might want out anyways. I'd take Russ Grimm too though.

BUT he is happy that the Ex-Steelers coach Cowher could be coming to coach his beloved browns and Cowher could be bringing along the Steelers front office personal. Very interesting Muggs....:D:D

BUT he is happy that the Ex-Steelers coach Cowher could be coming to coach his beloved browns and Cowher could be bringing along the Steelers front office personal. Very interesting Muggs....:D:D Without question. Cowher has the type of personality needed to change the culture of this organization. Romeo Crennel is the exact opposite. I think Romeo would be the perfect fit for a veteran team that has players who know how to be pro's (like the Pats where he came from). But with young players who struggle with motivation, struggle with maturity and character, and have been apart of a losing culture since they came into the NFL it's going to take an in-your-face, strong personality to change that mindset. Crennel wasn't ever reallly the type of guy for that role. Cowher is. Now, I'm not sure about Cowher's talent evaluation skills, and ideally I think Phil Savage as GM and Cowher as Head Coach would be the ideal combo- but that's not going to happen. Those two cannot exist (or won't agree to exist) in the same organization and Cowher will want complete control. I'm not sure he should get complete control. But something needs to change and, if I had to choose, I would take Cowher. Plus, it would be a huge slap in Pittsburghs face.

You forget Bill played for the Browns, and it's another chance to prove what a blue collar guy can do in a different blue collar town. I'd take Russ Grimm too though. What on earth are you talking about Einstein? First, the Rooneys aren't selling they are buying 80% of the team. Second, Russ Grimm is in Arizona. Third, your long range stories about Cowher looking for a house in Cleveland are about as accurate as anybody thinking your boy Lebo isnt on the first bus out of C-town in 2010. Fourth, I just heard Cowher on TV a week ago talking about how much he likes his gig. Fifth, if Cowher does take a coaching job it sure as the sun coming up in the morning isn't going to be with a disaster franchise like the Browns. As soon as the old man dies...ba bye. Second, Russ Grimm isn't a head coach DB he's an assistant with the Cards who I'd like to see the Brownies hire as a head coach. Fourth, wow he likes his gig no need to take the 10 million a year the Browns offer him then. Cowher played for and coached for the Browns before they were sold and shipped to Balitmore. He loves the Browns, he'll want to establish his legacy by returning them to the proud franchise they were before the move. Keep talking...I'm going to love rubbing this in your face.
