JakeN
The first time i saw uncle ted i was shocked. i thought he was insane. As time went on and my obsession with the outdoor channel progressed i came to understand him. i heard he had a new book out... i came home from hunting one night and purchased Ted White and Blue. Read the book in about a week (mostly from a treestand). Now i'm an avid supporter of my uncle ted. i even convinced my mother to read it:p. in my opinion he is correct about 99%. Just wondering if anyone else has read it and what you think of his ideas.....
bfletch7441
I like the guy too, as well as his books! He's loud and brash, and that rubs some folks the wrong way. They might agree with his views, but disagree with his antics. That's OK. I just hate hearing people running him down or saying he needs to keep his mouth shut when he has done more for our way of life than most of us on here ever will do. Go get 'em Uncle Ted! muzzy916
ive never read one of his books, but i listen to his speaches and interviews. Ive always suported uncle ted and in my opinion we need someone that will speak out for what we do and what we belive in. if i could i would get out there and do what he does. oneshot
Ok, I admit I'm a big mouth and have been told this a number of times by people. But I believe in honesty and have always told it like it is, no bs. It's time we hunters/sportsmen stand up for ourselves and fight back against anti hunters. If we keep sitting back and don't do anything the antis will continue to spread their lies. After all, who knows more about wildlife than the people who are out there seeing it first hand. More power to uncle Ted.
Strut10
Met Ted a couple of times. Got to hang out with him for an hour or better once. I will just say that Ted is the real deal. Despite his brash, entertainer exterior, he is a "teddy bear" on the inside. He has the sharpest, quickest mind of anyone I believe I've ever met. He LOVES kids, too. As sprtsmen, he is one of our highest profile, intelligent representatives. If you like someone to mince words and tell you what you want to hear........then Uncle Ted ain't for you. if you like someone with good information and a straight-to-the-point presentation...........Ted's your guy. Uncle Ted rocks!!!

AceArcher
I don't agree with everything he says. I am especially not a fan of him shooting fenced animals....his show is called "spirit of the wild"...there usually isn't anything wild or fair chase about it. However, I think he is a good guy who is doing what he thinks is best and it would be interesting to meet him sometime. To every ying there is a yang and he is the counteraction to people who are just as crazy about banning all guns.

Uncle Ted rocks!!! While I have never met him, I could see this impression of Nugent and do agree that he has our best interests as gunowners/hunters at heart. I have no problems with him myself and we do occasionally watch his show, however I do see where it could be a turn off for some in which case those people can always change the channel. Adjam5
No one is out on the front lines taking it on the chin, as a hunter and gun owner; than Uncle Ted. NO ONE. That man does soo much for charity that people never even hear about. He loves this country and honors our soldiers and has a unblemished record as far as gun/hunters rights go. Ted is even a Deputy Sheriff in the Texas town he has land in. Love him or hate him, you can't ignore him. I love when he says" you can't do this in France baby" and lets loose a 30 rd mag:D Rock on Uncle Ted...and God Bless America
Dawg
I like the Nuge. I like his shows. I like some of his music. I really like the fact that he aint scared to tell ya how it is.
rhine16
As far as Nugent standing up for our rights, I'm glad he does what he does. However, I will never, ever, ever watch his hunting show. Personal preference....
tp793
I love how straight forward Nuge is and the fact that he won't sugarcoat anything for anyone. Great clip btw.

EKYhunter
I like him and how he represents sportsmen, the outdoors, and how he stands up for the 2nd ammendment. However, I can't stand to watch his show. "This segment brought to you by" yada, yada, yada....... All he does is push products and that really turns me off. Just my opinion. Guest MIC65Frit
I wish Uncle Ted would run for Governor here in MI...we could use his energy...and well the state could use a political enema...Mr Nugent would be just the man to release the water to get things flowing. backwoods07
I can't stand to watch his show. "This segment brought to you by" yada, yada, yada....... All he does is push products and that really turns me off. Just my opinion. Those sponsors keep his show on the air and I'm sure he is binded by contract to recite that long list of sponsors. It does get annoying, but it's not a mainstream show on Fox or CBS, so any money that he can scrounge up to produce his show he'll take. Be that as it may, I agree. It can get annoying, but not annoying enough for me to turn his show off.
Jeramie
I think he is over the top but I dont have a problem with that. He is backing our rights and doing so in a legal way. More power to him. I havent read his book but have thought about it. I listened to him on the radio recently and I too agreed with most of what he said.... not to mention, "Cat scratch fever....." how can you argue with that?
