stevebeilgard
i'm sure you'll have to get your tags as a non resident. most states require you to actually live in the state for one year before you can buy a resident license. so, maybe plan on a 2010 elk hunt if you're moving there in 2009. or get non resident tags. Equalizer
the state of montana requires that you live in the state for 120 consectutive days to be a resident. with the moose or sheep tag it is a lottery drawing, and for a good area you might not ever draw a tag. in a couple districts sheep tags are easy to get but it is the most brutal terrain in the state. so good luck with that..
