First out of state hunt

Probably should have posted this sooner, but things have been kind of crazy here and have not been in here quite as much lately. We really have some great members here, this is just another example. For the offer/invite I got to happen does not in any way surprise me, but it does surprise me that it was me that was invited, because this type of offer just is not typical of how things tend to go for me. Furthest from our farm I have hunted has been just a couple miles up the road and that was only a few times with the rifle, so to say I am excited about an out of state hunt is a huge understatement.

Have never bowhunted anywhere but right here in the backyard. Have killed a fair number of deer here over the years and managed to take some pretty good bucks for this area with the gun and ml, but have never been able to close the deal on a buck with the bow despite having a few opportunities.

Anyhoo, Randy pm'd last week with a pm titled "good morning William". Randy asked how the season was going and I answered that it was going pretty good, cannot complain really in any way with the wife and my oldest daughter both each killing a deer already. Really whether I kill a deer this year or not at this point is not that significant, the season has in my eyes been a success, and now I have a lot to look forward to for next fall. I have had a great time and seen a lot of deer this year, had countless opportunities but just not seen anything that really tripped my trigger. Randy replied back inviting me to bowhunt with him next fall in Wisconsin. I was pretty well lost for words when I read his message, and cannot say how excited I am about the opportunity.

Thank you Randy, I really appreciate this and am really looking forward to hunting with you. With everything we had going on, your offer really could not have come at a better time.

That is great William! Way cool. I have no doubt that you will have a great time. It just might be a little bit colder than TN:D

1st out of state hunt will be burned into your memory with none other than Randy himself.

Randy...you are just too kind to soo many members here at Realtree. Your a good man Randy time and time again.

LOL, I'm not sure how many of you remember this thread:

I didn't want to run a contest because Swampy would have gotten to see a banning so I did a little "survey" instead! :D

Anyhow, William just seemed to be the "Biggest Loser"! ;):D I had such a great time bringing a kid out for a youth hunt, seeing the excitement in my buddy's eyes when he shot his great buck and now, having a great week with Charlie. Maybe I'm getting old but, I like to see someone else kill them probably more than killing them myself. William has been a great help to many of us here at RT and I think he deserves a great hunt.

Thank you William for everything you do for these forums, and I'll see if I can grow a couple big ones for you to get a look at next fall. ;)
