fly
Ok I now own my first black powder. I don't know much about them so if you all have learned any lessons or know any tips about maintenance, hunting in the rain, or anything else I'd love to hear. pointing_dogs_rule
I just bought that one from cabelas. Sounded like a great deal. I have a Knight and will use this one as a back-up. How many guns with a stainless barrel and camo stock can you get for $199. Will also use the gun for 4-H muzzleloading instruction. If you bought it from cabelas and need to get the rebate you must go to Remington.com and get the application to fill out. Hopefully I will fire mine this weekend. good luck the dog
PA_RIDGE_RUNNER
If you bought the Genesis thinking it is a genuine Remington product it is not. It is made in the same plant as CVA in spain. I have read of a couple of problems with them but some like them just fine.
Rem308
Welcome to the wonderful world of Muzzleloading! I am relatively new to the game, myself. Growing up, my dad usually had the traditional style muzzle loader and I always enjoyed shooting it...then last year I bought my first inline. I bought a used CVA Magbolt .50 cal and I love it. It's nothing fancy, but is great for me. It's accurate and I really like shooting it. I haven't mounted a scope on mine yet, I'm really wanting to keep it open sights for a while before moving to a scope. Mine shoots pretty good for me now, but at first I had to experiement with a few different sabots and powder. Luckily a few of my friends also have ML's and they let me try their powder and sabots until I found a good combination. Also, and most importantly, keep that thing CLEAN! That's the life of your ML and will guarantee smooth operation for many years to come. Good luck.
