Black Friday

Do any of you ladies (or gentlemen that are snooping!) do the whole Black Friday thing? It's 12:30am here and my Mom, sister, and I are planning to leave the house at 3:30 or earlier and get to our mall before 4am. Call us crazy, but we always have a BLAST! After we got home from eating our Thanksgiving Dinner at our relatives, the three of us sat down with all the sale ads and made up a plan of where we needed to be, at what time, to get what we wanted. :p It's like a tradition to do this. LOL.

Anyone else join the madness? If so, do you have any horror stories? We have seen people get pushed down, get into fist fights and all. Mostly we just go to watch people act crazy.:D Cheap entertainment at it's best. LOL. :D

Have considered it but I stayed home so the hubby could go hunting. I do alot of my christmas shopping online these days. It is just easier. I used to do the Black Friday thing at times and it was very entertaining. Seeing grown women fight over an elmo doll that wiggles.....doesn't get any more funny than that! Have seen people get pushed down and people grab things out of other people's shopping carts when they weren't looking. I think women are the worst. Men don't tend to get into it as much. I guess it is that motherly instinct to provide for your kids????? Don't know what causes people to act so crazy. I'll wait this year until closer to Christmas to go shopping.

We just got back about an hour ago from being out in all the madness. We were going to attempt to go to one of the local Walmart's but the whole parking lot was jam packed! So we said NO WAY. LOL. There is another Walmart less than 10 miles away (why so close?!) and it wasn't nearly as crowded. When we got to the checkout with the items we wanted, I asked the lady if anything had went on earlier that morning. She said that when the plastic was pulled off the pallets of the special doorbuster items, that people started pushing and arguing... and that they had to call the police! The cops told everyone that if they didn't calm down that they would force them to stop all sales.

Also, while I was in line, I talked to another customer that said at the Walmart we decided not to go to, that people got into fist fights and were getting pushed to the floor! Apparently the 50" TV's for $798 were the big seller along with the laptops they had advertised. Well, come to find out, they only had 3 of those and people were FURIOUS! LOL.

Overall, we had a great time, lots of laughs, and no arguements. Got 90% of our Christmas shopping done as well, so that's a blessing in itself. Whew! :p

If anyone else went out today, post up your stories! :D
