Please stop putting IMO in your posts

We all should have learned in 6th grade not to put "in my opinion" on anything we are writing, especially opinion pieces - we know it is your opinion!!! Who else is writing it?

I've seen this so much on the Forum lately that I want to address is - these are all mostly opinions so unless your are typing for someone else... We got it , it is your opinion.

If you're using IMO to mitigate sounding like a jerk, rewrite the post so you don't sound like a jerk.

Peace,

Someone wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning???:D

IMHO, I see nothing wrong with using those acronyms.:D

To me, it lets the other user know that what you're stating is not a given fact its just your opinion. I use it when I'm short of time and don't want to delve into all the "not saying that you should do it, or that this is the way it should be done or I personally don't have anything against or etc."

Oh...and I also use it for some good natured ribbing.:D:D

So... IMO means "in my opinion".

I'm not in the new texting generation so until now I had no idea what it meant. I guess I see your point since I never knew the meaning and it hasn't caused me to interpret something wrong.

Doesn't bother me seeing it though.

I just found out what OMG was a month ago and last year found out LOL means laugh out loud and not lots of luck.:D

Had I never joined these forums I'd still be in the dark.

We all should have learned a lot of things in the 6th grade that we don't adhere to.

IMHO, IMO is used online in reference to what Kevin suggests, and the fact that we aren't all writing persuasive essays here. IMHO, IMO is used as a courtesy so as to not call a person out.

That's JMO though. :D

This was kinda good for a laugh... I actually appreciate it when people put that in their posts. It almost just lets everyone know that you have some humility and don't think you're always right...it's refreshing I guess to come on here where most everyone is like that! That's why I like this site :-) Just try to be an optimist..

Take care,

Ryan

Peace,

Get out the wrong side of the bed today? IMO, maybe you should go back to bed. IMHO! :D

IMO, someone should follow their own advice. Again, JMHO.

:D:p:D
