Swamphunter
What should I buy.. TC Triumph, or TC Encore? I am in the market for a 50 cal ML, and really like the Triumph, but think about the versatility of the Encore and interchangeable barrels. Give me your thoughts and opinions please.... csualumni21000
The barrel cost was the main issue for me. If it looks good go for the versatility.
tedicast
I bought my Encore, 209x50 because I loved the way it felt. I went to the shop to buy an Omega, That was 3 or 4 years ago, I now also have a 12 gauge slug barrel, a custom 45/70 Gov't. barrel, and a 28" .223 heavy barrel for it. They all shoot incredibly well too. I went with the Hardwood/stainless combo.
toddyboman
Encore.... I love mine. I bought the encore for the very reason of versatility and interchangeable barrels, then when I got one in my hands.... I loved the way it felt!! Good luck
EKYhunter
I got to handle the Triumph this past Saturday for the first time. I did not like the way it felt in my hands. The pistol grip area of the stock was way to thick for my taste and reminded me of the CVA Optima which I also dislike. I own an Encore and it just feels right to me. I've been debating between buying a new Browning A-Bolt or setting up a rifle barrel for the Encore and I think I've decided on the rifle barrel. To me, the Encore is the better muzzle loader simply because of feel. Have you thought about the Omega? TC currently has a $50.00 rebate on the Omega. Swamphunter
I am open to all TC's... just kind of trying to narrow it down a bit. I won't buy a thing until I handle them all though....thanks guys

RangerClay
My dad just got a Triumph and it is sweeeeeeeet! I will own one myself one day. I liked it MUCH better than the Omega. Ken, the Triumph and Encore are both really great guns. You will have look inside yourself and decide which gun will best suit your needs. elnor
As others have said, both are well made guns. I'd suggest picking the one that fits you best. For me, the Encore feels too "short", while the Triumph feels "just right". So much so that I bought a Triumph this summer and killed my biggest buck to date, along with filling three doe tags with it, this fall. I'm very happy with my choice.
