preacherman
This is indeed a sad story. Thoughts go out to this person's family. That is one reason why I hunt or sleep in on "Black Friday" Like someone else said, there is nothing at Wal Mart or any other store that is on sale to go and get hurt. It was said that they cleared out a Wal Mart not too far from here because of fights and that there were two fights at our local Wal Mart. fly
That is terrible. For the first time ever yesterday I woke up early and went shoping. The Nintendo WII (I just found out a couple weeks ago it is a interactive game system) was on sale at Cabelas and my kids had been asking for one. A friend went with me to get one as well. I arrived at 5:30am (store opened at 6am). There was already about 50 people in line (some since about 4am). Anticipating a mad rush for this WII Cabela's had a worker distribute a flyer with the managers signature to people in line who wanted one. Mine had number 15 on it (they had a total of 29). We were instructed that the paper would serve as our "ticket" to get a WII at the customer service desk. This was a smart move and helped keep any potential idiots at bay. I must say it wasn't a big deal and everyone acted appropriate and curtious (at least from what I saw). I had the WII and was in my truck headed home by 6:20am. m gardner
On Black Friday we went to Usury Mountain and shot the 3-D course instead. Doreen and I shoot for a rock (like poker chips but heavier) a target. She tied me this time. At least she didn't beat me yet!! LifeNRA
Well, what do you expect! Walmart has 100 items on sale at a terrific price, but 1000 people show up to get this same item! I blame Walmart and all the other stores for this problem, they created this fiasco. They can have it too. I wouldn't be too surprised if a law suit comes out of this. darth289
that's crazy---I went hunting!!!! +1.... I don't have to deal with all the idiots in the stand! My mom was telling me that she heard some moron on CNN and he was blaming what happend on "christians and their Christmas"! Now that really frustrates me. She said they had a number you could call, she tried for 30 minutes with no luck, so she emailed them. Seriously, it's people like that who cause most these pointless problems our nation has. Jeramie
I heard about that this morning. People need to step back and question their morals. Nothing in those stores is that important.
