mossyhorn
I have two dogs that love to sneek off and play in the hills....thing is I live right beside the highway and I am worried they will get killed one day. I have a in ground dog fence and have given them 2 acers to play in but problem is the fence is nt the great...seems like at least once a month something happens and I am out tracking down breaks in the line. I want to know is there a better way to keep them from running off or am I just going to have to invest in a good chain.
Eddie234
Is it possible to fence in your yard or atleast an area to use as a kennel?

mossyhorn
well we tried kennel and it kept them in for about 3 days...i have decided to just by a chain for now and when we do fence in the yard to try something new with the in ground fence where i will put along the fence and keep them from digging and climbing......i hate the fact they are smart
stevebeilgard
2 acres is a lot to put a high fence around, but it can be done. check the government services (gsa) auctions. one day, you'll be able to buy enough used chain link to fence in your yard at a very cheap price. till then, teach your dogs to look both ways... lol
Guest Andrea
Check this out, no underwire fencing or above ground fencing needed: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/pod/horizontal-pod.jsp?id=0005408&navCount=1&parentId=cat20871&masterpathid=&navAction=push&cmCat=MainCatcat603205-cat20871_TGP&parentType=index&indexId=cat20871&rid=
