Illinois59
Doing the outside lights today. Keeping everything on the ground from this year forward. I'm tired of taking my life in my hands every year getting on the roof.
AdvantageTimberLou
Hanging the lights off the house today, got all the displays set up. Its almost like work! LOL!! Wife is doing the tree with the girls today while dad is outside on the ladder trying to stay warm. Next dreaded part is taking them down but its all for the kids and to see them smile at the lights. Be safe putting them up guys and may all your lights actually light up!
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Yep, got the outside lights and the tree up on Friday. It is tradition that all of it goes up on the weekend right after Thanksgiving.
Shaun_300
Sounds like you and I think are very much alike when it comes to putting those things up and taking them down. My bloodpressure skyrockets every year when I have to put those things up. Mine aren't up yet, mom wanted me to do them last Sunday but I was in no spirits to do them, I have a feeling she'll be hinting to get them done today. Which is probably a good idea considering we're getting a snowstorm tonight and there's not one day this week without snow in the forecast. Flintlock1776
Not yet. Doing some more renovations to the house which should be done in a week which will give us back the living room for the tree. I went to Home Depot yesterday afternoon and got one of those artificial trees with the LED lights. regularly $200, yesterday $50. So, what the heck I bought it. I hope it will look good when done. Outside lights and props maybe next week.

Alisha
We put the tree up yesterday and some of our other inside decorations. It's raining outside today so nothing is outside yet. This is by far the earliest we've put the tree up in YEARS. Reason being, was that my sister is going back to college tomorrow and won't be home until the 12th of December and we had to take our picture in front of the tree for Christmas cards.
