TreeStandBowHunter
What's up Joe! We always put our tree up the day after Thanksgiving, it's a tradition. As far as lights, we never really put lights outside of the house but we do decorate a little inside the house.
fly
Since my kids are little I put up (what I consider) a lot of lights. I'll post a picture later in the week. I usually get them up the week before Thanksgiving. We'll get our tree Tuesday. I'm a bit sad because the tree farm we go to every year (cut your own) is going out of business after this season. They provide hot chocolate (for the kids of course ~ see OTPG below) and horse drawn carriage rides. The economic problems are being seen everywhere. Rem308
Yesterday, while watching football, the wife put up several decorations inside the house...tonight I'm going to drag out the tree from the garage attic and we'll put it up. I listened to a few Christmas Songs on the radio while driving to Hunting camp last week, so I am starting to feel a little of the Christmas Spirit. backwoods07
Haven't done more than hang a few wreaths. The house is covered in snow with 3-4 more inches on the way tonight. Maybe it wouldn't be terrible if we weren't able to get to them this year BTW, anyone ever use that gun like thing that's supposed to fix a bad strand of lights? Apparently it plugs into the strand of lights, finds the bad bulb, and bypasses it. It'd be great if this worked...
GWSmith
Well I Finally got them done just a few minutes ago;) I love the part where you get to hunt down the bad bulb to get the string working...such a Joy:rolleyes: Sacrificed some good Treestand Camoflauge(last years after Christmas sale pine tree garland) to do the posts on the front porch too! Gator
Nope, I live far enough out in BFE that even if I did put them up, unless someone was lost, they'd never see them. And I am just not in the Christmas spirit this year to boot

texastrophies
I put our tree up this past weekend, didn't really want to, but I figured it might help the boy out some. When he got home from my sisters, he was pleasantly suprised to see the tree up. I had also wrapped a gift for him that my wife had gotten him a couple of months ago, that was tough on both of us. I asked him if he wanted to put up the outside decorations that she usually did, a bunch of wooden reindeer, wooden sleigh with Santa and a wooden Christmas tree, all with lights on them, he said he didn't think so for this year, which I agreed with.
