LifeNRA
Well since I got my buck with a rifle today. I believe I will use the bow for my remaining doe tag. After all, thats why I got it in the first place! Heck, the two deer that walked by me today. I could have shot them both with my bow. Dad and I will be heading out again on Wednesday, but I will have my bow in hand!
njbowhntr
It usually works out that way, that during gun season they walk close enough for bow shots.
Casey
The deer here are not moving at all... i have gave up all hope. I am going to hunt the end of the post rut on stand corn fields and food plots. They have to eat to prepare for the winter time.

Nothing except "I should have...."
LifeNRA
Never grab a gun again and you'll always get one with a bow. What good is getting a deer beyond bow range? Nothing except "I should have...." Yeah, but with a million hunters in the PA woods, the opening of the rifle season! Chances are that buck I shot would have run into someone else. I arrowed, he dropped with his or her rifle. Don't get me wrong, I am almost at the point where I would rather bow hunt than gun hunt. But when rifle season opens here, and I still have a buck tag, the 270 is up to bat!
LifeNRA
LOL! Had a four pointer walk in to 18 yards, on the ground, broadside, in the open! Then had a doe about 45 yards, too far. This might get interesting!
hutchies
Keep at it buddy. They will come closer sooner or later. If you have to move your stand closer to their trail. I've got 5 does already with my bow this year...........Got 1 tag left.

But I need the ones that don't have antlers!

arrow32
Good luck. I'm hoping to drop a couple with the bow in late season. Not going to be to picky on the does for the next couple weeks I'm just going to drop them. Still going to try and drop one with a gun this saturday if a buck walks by. I would much rather be bowhunting than bowhunting. This year hasn't worked out tho normally I already have one down with a gun by the first few days of the season not this year. Them monsters are staying layed up or just even a shooter. After this weekend tho its back to all bow hunting till the end of the year. LifeNRA
Today I had a big doe at 18 yards! Couldn't pull back because her kids were watching me hard! Man this is tough not being in a tree. I might have to re-think the tree stand here!
