ate1cropy
Im going to try out a new spot on thursday and friday and im not sure how to hunt. the farm has only been hunted about 3 days this season and the entire area does not get hunted that hard at all. Its got about a 50 acre alfalfa and clover field on the south end of the farm, another 100 acres of thick woods on the north west corner, and about 80 acres of marshy grass with a river running across its north eastern corner. Im not sure if i should watch the field in the morning and evening and put up a stand in the thick woods for the mid day or what? I usually hunt northern minnesota where we dont have fields to watch. They are calling for temps in the mid 20s and overcast conditions with a chance of snow on thursday. Im not sure if the deer will feed all day or if at all, should i stay on the field all day or in the woods? Any bit of help would be appreciated thanks

tp793
I'd probably watch the food sources in the morning and evening.
whitetailhunter32210
I would find an intersection of trails in the woods and Hunt near there. The big bucks are hanging in the woods here, don't know about where you are at
wtnhunt
Figure out where they are bedding, hunt trails going to that area in the morning. Hunt the field in the afternoon.
Dawg
I would hunt the woods in the morning, the river/grassy area mid day, and the field in the evening.
Missed160
I think your best bet is to invite some other people from Minnesota who still have open tags to hunt with you.. hey wait, I'm from Minnesota.. I still have open archery tags.......
