Late season help?

Now that the wisconsin gun deer hunt is over and i still haven't gotten a buck for the year i was wondering what my best chances for getting a buck into range this late season. Unfortunately i don't have any food sources to hunt over. I do have hardwoods bordered by swamp. The high side of the woods is on a field but it isn't our property. I usually hunt the low side. The swamp is on the other 3 sides of the woods. So where is my best bet to get a shot at a buck? sorry for the long question

I would hunt the thickets... Here in Indiana the bucks are locked down with spring fawn does. They aren't in season yet, but probably very close. These bucks are locked down with them and not doing much moving.

I would hunt the thickets and wait all day long on stand, keep warm and stay safe. I would also try a little rattling in the morning. Big buck might try to swoop into the fight and steal a hot doe.

If its legal to use bait i would bait them with bails of alpha (if theres snow) and corn if not. Late year there very hungry after the rut and are trying to put some fat on there bodys. High protein food works awesome.

Food sources...........Here the rut is over and they are trying to refuel the tank.

They are really hammering the corn up here. Gotta be some food sources in Fond du Lac county somewhere...that's a great area for bucks.
