Jeramie
Since my bought with EColi I am still facing several health issues. Its miserable. However, some of what I’m facing now may not be from the EColi. My immune system is low so I’ve been very-very sick twice in the last couple of months. Typically I go a couple of years without getting sick. That has also triggered my asthma. All my life it was mild. I would use an Albuterol inhailer once every couple of months. Now that thing travels with me everywhere and I’m using it daily. That stems from the colds I’ve had. I also had an appointment with a GI Specialist last month. They pulled blood and he pushed around on my stomach, intestines, etc. He said he could fill my liver from under my ribs. Apparently that’s odd. Occasionally people have a large liver and I pray that is why he could feel my liver and that its not inflamed. Regardless he sent me to the Lab to have blood pulled. My iron levels were off and my ANA number was elevated. We have no idea what that is all about. ANA points to different serious problems such as Lupus and Rumatoid arthritis. These can not be caused by EColi. They are genetic conditions. Although, no one in my immediate family has any problems such as these. I go back in for blood work next week again. If my ANA number is elevated I will likely have a liver biopsy in January. I went from completely healthy to facing health problems. I’ve never had to experience this so ill admit its pretty scary. I’ve always been the healthy one. I just pray that the blood work, next week, comes back clean and that the first test was a false positive. GWSmith
This is just a Season so to speak...that you'll get through and be able to look back on someday soon! Just try to remember when your past this how you got to being healthy again. I bet when that happens a few of the big keys in your recovery will be how well and often you communicated the specifics of your symptoms to your doctors, how healthy your diet was, and how positive your outlook to becoming healthy again was.
