JasonLester
Anyone ever make there own. I'd like to try some of the lighted nocks but they seem a bit pricey. Being cheap (LOL) I wouldn't mind trying to make some myself. Anyone got a website or instructions on this. I have seen it in the past but haven't found it again. Thanks Edited December 4, 2008 by JasonLester I aparently can't spell or type

JasonLester
i was just wondering dont lighted knocks make the deer duck the arrow more due to seeing a dot coming at them i was just wondering Well I doubt it as the light it on the back of the arrow. Would be interesting to see what it looks like from the target side though.
hoosierhunter
I killed two deer this season with Easton's Tracer nocks. One was a doe at 33 yards at last light and she didn't see it coming. The other was a 3.5 year old buck at 35 yards and he didn't even know what hit him. He ran away and stood at 60 yards looking back....
backwoods07
i was just wondering dont lighted knocks make the deer duck the arrow more due to seeing a dot coming at them i was just wondering No. If they are looking at you when you shoot, they're gonna jump the same whether you have a lighted knock on or not. I shot two deer this year with the Lumenok. One didn't penetrate all the way through and banged off of trees as the deer ran away and turned off. The other time, the knock never lit up. Might not be worth the $10 a pop.
JasonLester
the other time, the knock never lit up. Might not be worth the $10 a pop. Yeah kinda why I wanted to try making them for a couple bucks a peice. Check out the link I posted. Looks pretty easy and much cheaper than what I have seen of the premade ones. backwoods07
I say go for it. It looks easy enough and very cheap. I have about a dozen of those bobber lights and a few extra nocks around here. I might have to try this out. Up for a quick contest Jason??? Haha, may the best nock win
GWSmith
Well I doubt it as the light it on the back of the arrow. Would be interesting to see what it looks like from the target side though. I agree it's probably nothing since it's in the back of the arrow while in flight. Obviously where you aim is more important by some of the shots on this video of Luminocks in flight:D Look at some of the misses...and as you can tell by the time the arrow gets to the game it does not seem to bother them at all...except for the ones that get tagged that is;)

Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
yeah it is pretty easy. I haven't made in any in a while, I'll have to get some more made for next year. I have posted this before, but here is a video I took of my cousin shooting one of the first ones I ever made.
