VtBowhunter
Renegade TR-4. Mine is in Realtree Hardwoods HD Green. 30" Draw, 70# Max Draw (I'll be shooting it at around 63#). It has the FlameThrower Cam. Smooth, Quiet, and shock free........what more can you ask for. I can't wait to get after the turkeys with it. VTbowman
Re: My new baby Somehow I knew you would NOT get a Mathews. Once you start bashing them its hard to eat crow and buy one -huh. Nice looking stick. Now go shoot a deer and I will impressed. Ya know. Since your the greatest bowhunter alive and all.... LOL
VtBowhunter
Re: My new baby Actually, Shawn, it was between the Renegade and the Swithback, but as I was at Steve's shooting the Renegade, a friend of ours showed up and his Mathews had just blown the 4th set of limbs in less then a year so the choice became pretty easy after he told us that Mathews wasn't going to just send a new bow but were going to replace the limbs again.......pretty obvious to me that the problem isn't the limbs.......there's a problem in the riser and limb pockets, but they didn't think so. I liked the switchback but the Renegade shot much better for me and was $300 cheaper with a great service dept.
VTbowman
Re: My new baby I know you. You'll shot about every bow before you buy. If thats the bow you bought, its is because it was the best one for you. No doubts there. Just bustin your chops. I have been hearing more and more things like what has happened to your buddie. Is Mathews falling off its pedistal? I know I love mine, but its 5 years old now. I will not buy another new bow. EVER! They are just to dang expensive. Not only that, I am not 100% impressed with the Outback or SwitchBack yet. maybe give it a few years and I may pick one up used. (???) Maybe not thought. I am really liking the trad archery more and more... Taking a deer with a stick bow at even closer range would be the ultimate rush I would think... VtBowhunter
Re: My new baby Dave, ATA is 34.25 I believe and Brace hieght is 7.75. Ryan, I can tell you first hand that the bow was set up to perfection and the arrows were matched to the specs of the bow, not to mention he's only shooting 62 lbs. There's just a problem in the V-lock system.....his bow was one of the first with that in it, and my guess is they hadn't worked all the kinks out of it when they went to market with it. JimT
Re: My new baby Cool. Hope you get a turkey with it. It was $300.00 less than a Mathews? How much was the Renegade if you do not mind me asking?

VtBowhunter
Re: My new baby Dave, I'm extremely pleased that the ol' girl found such a good home and that you're so happy with her. You could be onto something with the imprinted "feeling" theory.......makes pretty good sense when you think about it.
puffy
Re: My new baby Congrats on the New Baby! Looks sweet! Hope she is everything you dreamed she'd be. I would love a new addition to the rack but the prices are too crazy. Good hunting with the New Baby!
