I havnt seen a doe since october 6th! I have been trying to get one now for over two months and I can even see one. And now that I got my 1 buck on our lease and my 1 buck on our farm I have no where to hunt. Kind of makes me wonder if deer numbers are as low as they say.

Any of you southern WI guys got a extra doe I can kill???

I agree with you 100% here in central ILL . I hunted all 4 days of Illinois 2nd gun season and seen one young buck and no does . I know i have a bunch on the farm but they just wernt moving. I cant wait to see the kill totals in a few days . We were down 13 or 14 thousand first season ,i bet its off by 30 thousand from last year. So i was wondering also about are true herd numbers ? are they down or what ? I still have a few days next weekend for ML only and i would really like to have one more doe .

Maybe in IL Hemorrhagic Disease "black tongue" problem from last year is really showing in the numbers this year?

I also wonder if coyotes and the ice storm played a part?

If the numbers are low, unfortunately I'll bet we'll be seeing more restrictions on the bow season. Currently there is no limit on doe tags.

All I have seen are does and young bucks.... Ok you come here....I'll go there....LOL

Don't underestimate mature does. They can be tricky!

Some truth in that for sure. Pretty well I have seen all season has been does and young bucks. Have had a couple mature bucks around the property, but they just have not shown up during legal shooting hours when I have been in the stand.
