clrj3514
Anybody use these products? I was lookin at the kit today at Wal-Mart today for around $21. It included the laundry detergent, deoderant, spray, a scent-safe bag and a few other things. Is that a good deal and does this stuff actually work? Thanks for your help. wtnhunt
The scent away stuff works about as well as any other in my opinion. To see if it is a good deal or not price out the stuff that is in it individually.
Hoosier Hunter
Yes, it works. But we just use the spray. We spray our clothes down, let them dry, and put them in a big zip-lock bag. Then spray us again before heading out.
rhine16
That's the same kit I buy. My clothes are washed with the detergent, dryed with the dryer sheets, use the soap, spray down with the spray everytime I hunt, and store my stuff in the bag. Great buy in my opinion. johnf
I use the soap/shampoo and the spray, fresh earth scent or "worm dirt" as my wife calls it. I use sport wash for my clothes and Mitchem unscented deodorant. Check out the scent lock suit thread for details.
LifeNRA
I use the soap, deodorant, field spray, scent wafers, detergent, and the dryer sheets. Had deer down wind and never spooked.
GWSmith
I have a testimonial for you... I have used thier products on and off for a few years. Before this season I remembered that I had a bag full of Camo Burlap. My Dad had used this on his ground blind from the year before. My Dad has the idea that if he sprinkles some Doe Estrus on it that it helps keep his scent down. I laughed a bit but with his record of 16 deer in the past 6years from that same standsite...I dont laugh very long;) Anyways...I got out this Burlap that had been bagged up since last season. I wanted to do a little Ghillie cover for my Popup Blind. As you geussed it the bag was heaving with a strong Urine odor from my Dads scent control ideas. I had to hose the stuff down just to work with it at all. It still smelled fairly BAD!!! Well I finally hung it from the rafters on the porch and cut it into strips a couple inches wide to tie on the Popup Blind. It still smelled fairly strong but after leaving it out on the porch for a couple days it had toned down a little. I attached the strips to the Popup Blind and sprayed it all down with the large bottle of "Unscented Scent-Away". ...did it Work? 100% There was absolutely No Odor at all...Zip,Zero,Zilch...NOTHING If it can do that with some seriously nasty Burlap...It should work on anything! fly
Honestly I do not believe it will keep deer from smelling human odor. Will it knock the scent down (probably somewhat). I use it in Oct. when I'm still highly motivated. By December I have stopped using it and just play the wind.
Flintlock1776
I use their stuff and it works well. I also use Asko's products and they are good too.
