New guy intro

Hmmm, wondering if my fonts are gonna be this big on the forum...if so, I'll change later.

Anyway, been browsing the site for a couple weeks...and like it. I'm originally from coastal NC, having lived in CA, NJ, PA, MA, TN, and MD. I've deer hunted since I was eight years old. I don't hunt locally any longer as the property is simply out of reach or under other lease. Deer availability is not as it is in other places I've lived either...so I sit out the season with the exception of only a few days a year....an immense change from my normal four/five days a week a few years ago. I fill my time nowadays with fishing and other 'on the water' recreation. I may not have much to add, but I do enjoy reading about you guys and gals successes...keep up the good work!! Hopefully, I can add a little now and then.

No, I have unlimited access to three hundred acres...but little deer hold on the property. Mainly due to forage. My plans to food plot the area is somewhat quelled by others who have the same "unlimited access". Simply put, I cannot count on cultivating quality bucks, even with the plots to hold them...they'll never reach that level. Even after long discussions, I'm not quite ready to put the money and time into preparing a failure...yet...that may change hopefully.

As for going west. Yes, I just returned from two weeks out west a couple weeks ago, and will most likely continue that until I either can't physically do it...or monetarily, I find myself broke.

These two scenarios are why I say, "only a few days a year". I'm not crying in my coffee here, by any means. I choose it to be this way, for lack of a better description.
