kansasbucks
What part of neosho county? I'm in Allen the county north. Lots of different type of terraine from big woodlots to creek bottoms to over grown pastures. One thing for sure, BIG BUCKS in any part of the county you will be hunting! Tim Andrus
Cole Ive hunted there for a few years now. Where are you hunting? It has a real good opportunity for a brusier buck I thnk where I killed my best bow buck is Neosho county or right on the border. Feel free to pm me with any questions. i hunted in St Paul this year in terrible conditions 80 degrees in nov. saw bucks every day and passed on a 40 ish buck ( quartering to me) rattled in a 60ish buck but he didnt read the script and never offere me a shot tim
kansasbucks
I hunt in southern Allen County about 15 miles north of the Neosho County line. I shot a 12 point that scored a little over 157 this year. The guy that hunts on the same section shot buck that scored in the 180's. Have pics of several deer over 150. My area would be closest to Chanute in Neosho County. St. Paul is in souteast Neosho County and my sister and brother-in-law live there and I know they have shot good bucks around that area too. You should have a chance at a buck of a lifetime if everything comes together.

He has about 10 tracts of land and each are about 150-350 acres.

SE_KSBowhunter
You are definately in an area that produces big bucks so that's half the battle, just not during hot weather- (ask Tim!) I hunt just a few miles South of St. Paul on Neosho river bottom ground. Have taken two deer in the 170's in the past 4 years, and connected with a nice 8 that Tim was after this year. (Sorry Tim, had to add salt to the wound!) From my personal experience, deer in that area are mostly typicals with a lot of mass, but have seen a few non-typicals taken. Mature bucks are easily over 200 pounds. The terrain has a lot of beans/corn mixed with scattered woodlots. We have a lot of success rattling as long as it's the right time of season. You should do your best to be here as much as possible during the month of November. I don't think you will be dissappointed!
