buckshot_09 Posted December 8, 2008 Report Share Posted December 8, 2008 looking at getting my Dad a traditional bow for christmas. i'm thinking recurve style, but that's as far as my knowledge goes on this subject. any info on what to look for as far as brands/models? it'll be used mostly for target shooting and deer hunting. thanks for the help! They are a great group of guys who are willing to answer any questions you might have, they also have a classifieds section where you might be able to find a good used bow at an affordable price. Guest turkeynutz64 Posted December 10, 2008 Report Share Posted December 10, 2008 I use take down recurves, and the best place I found in Okla. for help is Bill's in Claremore and Davenports in Prague. Its good to take him if possible to shoot em to see what feels right to him. I am very picky when it comes to the feel of the bow and the lengh. Good luck and hope this helps you.
