Tominator
Well, a little over 1 day left in Ohio's bow season. I plan on going out tomorrow night to give it one more chance. I can't say I didn't have my chances this year. 1 marginal gut shot, 1 belly shaving on a 140" 10pt, and one clean miss. Once again this year I was the master of the "little guy setup." I'd say I had shots on about 30 deer this year, only 2 of them were does, and only 1 buck worth shooting, and like I said before, I missed all 3. As I look back, I'm feeling pretty disappointed for some reason, maybe because I don't have a deer in the freezer and that's the first time in over 10 years thats happened Or maybe because for 2 years in a row about 95% of my shots have been on either button bucks or 1 and 2 year olds with marginal racks. In any event, I'm whining, I'll stop. I should read my own signature line! Wish me luck for tomorrow.

fisherguy
Re: Getting Down To It Ya, stop your whining! You are lucky to have such a long season. And look at it this way, you have what, 8 or 9 months to replay those 3 shots in your mind? LOL good luck on your last hunt of teh year. Ohiobucks
Re: Getting Down To It [ QUOTE ] On the bright side... you got to hunt with me [/ QUOTE ] And me! I feel for you buddy, if it wasn't for that doe in Illinois, I would have been archery deerless as well. Dropped one with the shotgun, but that went to a deserving family. Oh well, a local farmer just got my order for a 1/2 of beef, I should be able to pick it up mid February. Come on over for a steak buddy! And good luck to you this evening partner! carbonhunter
Re: Getting Down To It Thats bow hunting for ya Chris. Kinda funny, a master goes dry and a up and comer goes hog wild for the year. I lost alot of meat during the power outage, but this deer season will be one to remember. ruttinbuc
Re: Getting Down To It Yes, sometimes you get the bear and others the bear gets you! I can relate to the disappointment. I had a good year with my bow, but I'm disappointed that my firearm seasons did not go as well. I still have a couple weeks of ML and til the 19th if I want to take the bow. It is just the 2 degree mornings I can't get excited about.
