PotashRLS
I am increasingly concerned about the political giant that is always threatening our outdoor traditions, hunting and the 2nd Amendment. Now with our history making President-Elect Obama, I am even more concerned, even to the point that I talk more openly in public about my position and concerns. Heres my question.....I feel that without more widespread public forums, especially those with access to more mainstream media, we will lose our battle for our way of life in my lifetime or for sure my young son's lifetime. I admire all of you for your "homegrown" and "grass roots" beginnings, but without your louder voice, us little guys have little hope. As intensely aggressive that Ted Nugent is, I still see him as one of our biggest voices. Unfortunately, he is blown off as radical and at times insane by the media. I and many appreciate all he does. Can you please elaborate on your positions and efforts to fight for our rights to live like we do? Thanks Again for your efforts. stevebeilgard
i'll jump in first. i'm a right wing conservative constitutionalist. i speak out for the 2nd amendment at every opening or opportunity. i've been on the radio hundreds of times over the years, and a few dozen times in tv shows. i've authored 74 articles in magazines, and each time i get a chance to talk pro second amendment or hunting, i jump on it. i also have been known to spoil parties when an anti gun person speaks up. just stay with your beliefs, speak only the facts, and you'll win every time. PotashRLS
Good answers and thanks for responding. I was a bit worried no one would respond for fear of PC contractual crap or something. I would like for all prostaffers to respond because I believe whole-heartedly that in a way it is your duty to represent those who fund your livelihood. Thanks again for your responses guys, and I appreciate your efforts!
Texan_Til_I_Die
I believe Mr PotashRLS has a very valid point here. And with today's political climate, I think it's extremely important to get our views on hunting and the 2nd Amendment out to as many people as possible. I would suggest that the Realtree Prostaffers, along with anyone else who has access to some type of media outlet, increase your efforts and try to work in some type of endorsement for our outdoor heritage and 2nd Amendment rights into each show. But it's not just Prostaffers who are fighting this battle. We're all in it together and that's the only way we can win.

unioncountyslayer
You would think with all your connections you would have Bill Jordan on speed dial and could just call him up and have him add you to the pro staff family Tink. What gives?
EricF
Man!! Tink, you impress more day by day. I'm a 25 year Coast Guard member...still active duty. I am also immediate past VP for a non profit group that does a twice a year fishing trip for up to 300 active duty troops...all five services. We have organized a website to foster the movement, so to speak. Thanks for your service and your continued work. On Keith Warren...he attended our second year of festivities and put part of it on his show...still viewable on his website somewhere I believe. I spent most of the day with him and talked extensively. He's a class act as well. To the point....with all this, WE still make the time to promote the 2nd ammendment as well as the benefits of hunting as it affects the environment and the soul...even though we focus on fishing during these events. Kudos to you all who do the same!!! PotashRLS....you hit the nail on head my man!!!! Unioncountyslayer....I'm here....the guy from Montana....thanks for recommending the site!!! bowhuntnsmycrack
I may not be a pro-staffer but my biggest thing is if you dont vote dont complain. i voted for the first time this past election and my vote went to mccain palin. nuge is a raddical... raddical outdoorsman who is busting his ass fighting for our 2nd ammendment rights. and i hate how people say he is just some redneck hillbilly from michigan when he's like us all. hunters, fisherman, trappers, all outdoorsman fighting for the sport we truly love. Mr. Obama is nothing but scum to me. I am a proud outdoors man who is not affraid to speak his mind on the 2nd ammendment and people say no one will ever take our 2nd ammendment rights away because its to big of an issue, well heres my thing GET BENT THEY WONT LOOK AT WHAT CLINTON DID! last thing we need is a democrate as president and for the hunters who voted democratic SHAME ON YOU apperintly you arent a hunter then. but people seem to think cuz bush screwed up the economy every republicans that way... I DONTTHINK SO. thats like saying because theres 1 crooked cop there all crooked.
