maddhunter
I'm in the market for a new bow and have had my mind on a Mathews because of the warranty and they are a sweet shooting bow, but seen an advertisement on Parker Bows and they also have a lifetime warranty. I will go shoot one but just wondered if anyone knew any history on them. Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!

huntinsonovagun
Re: Anyone Shoot A Parker Bow????? I would NOT be afraid to buy a Parker. Seem like a quality bow. I would actually like to have one. As mentioned before, the only downside would be resale. Just don't hold their value. You might check the www.archerytalk.com classifieds. Just keep your eye open for any bows. I wonder if I'll ever buy a new bow again! Holler at me some time and we'll go check out some bows together!! I would love to try some of the Parkers! maddhunter
Re: Anyone Shoot A Parker Bow????? I'm not too worried about the resale. If I spend $600-$800 on a bow I will have it to hand down to my son. That much money doesn't come easy around my house. I just want to get one that will last and not give me alot of problems. Unless the Parkers that I shoot are cheaper and just as good I will probably go with the Mathews. The Mathews dealer I will use is about 20 minutes away and the parker dealer is atleast 1 1/2 hours away.Convenience is worth alot.Especially if I have a major problem during deer season!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the info!!! I will shoot some though, just so I can say I did.
snapper
Re: Anyone Shoot A Parker Bow????? I don't own one...but a buddy of mine does. Couldn't tell you which one it is...I know he bought it new in 2000. I shot it and it was smooth and quiet. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one...depending on the price. Guest adamo
Re: Anyone Shoot A Parker Bow????? I have an Ultra-Lite 35" Parker. and I love it. Bought it 2 summers ago, looked into Mathews and liked them, but at the time they were selling for $650 and I bought my Parker for $500. I test fired the Switchback and would have to admit that it is a much smoother bow, but the shop up here is charging $720 for it. adam

maddhunter
Re: Anyone Shoot A Parker Bow????? A buddy of mine has a PSE Excellerator. It is very quit and shoots fast. He has had it for 3 years and hasn't had any trouble with it. He gave around $600 for it then. I just think if I'm going to spend that much on a bow it will be a Mathews. ruttinbuc
Re: Anyone Shoot A Parker Bow????? I wouldn't worry about the resale value of the Parker. You are saving big right off the bat. I shoot a3 year old Ultra 35. I have no problems whatsoever and it kills deer just like all the other bows out there. Go with what best fits you and your wallet.
