Dakota
As far as I am concerned. If your a gun owner and hunter, and not a member, your part of the problem! But don't worry, we will continue to support the NRA so YOU CAN HUNT AND SHOOT!!! JMHO!!! I think we all ridiculed him, I know I did! He had no right making that comment because hunting is hunting as long as the state deems it legal! As far as the SD dems, they must of had a good rating from the NRA for them to endorse them. BTW, I am not harping on you either! Either way, there is nobody else that is fighting for your rights to own a firearm or HUNT bigger than the NRA. Been a life member since the first clinton takeover! LOL! I'm just going to say that when I was at the Professional Outdoor Media Association national conference in Sioux Falls this past August, the NRA wasn't the most popular booth there. In fact there was a big old pink elephant in the room when they held an open forum with several big names in the outdoors industry. They were defending themselves more than anything to the writers and very little was accomplished. What happened to free speech? What happened to supporting one of your own?!?! I mean can you honestly imagine hunting a big old bull elk or running speed goat with an AR? Even Linda Powell admitted this, she feels uncomfortable doing that! And just so you know, I backed Jim 100%, because you don't need to disown a great writer like him and cause a rift in the industry when we are already being attacked from outside the outdoors industry! Jim has always been an advocate for the common man. I've always backed him and I am going to continue to do so, as he has been a hunting hero for me and has also become a good friend and mentor. Still...in general the NRA is a good thing...let me rephrase that...a great thing! I just need some time, and I just needed to state my position a little more clearly for you folks. Dakota
You're right, I feel I was a little out of line and for that I appologize...I'm just sticking up for a good friend in Jim to not only me but the entire outdoors industry. And like I said, the NRA is a good thing...just everything has its issues. Dakota
