Once again, our Christmas light display will be animated to music. There are nearly 16,000 lights (including strobes), over ¼ miles of extension cords, and 48 channels of computer animation synchronized to music. The three songs that are sequenced are:

• Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy by The 101 String Orchestra

• Carol of the Bells by The Carpenters

• Wish Liszt (Toy Shop Madness) by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Our display went live on Saturday, November 29th. Shows will run every 20 minutes from 5pm until 10pm Sunday - Thursday and from 5pm to 11pm on Friday and Saturday evening. Visitors can tune their radio to 88.1FM when visiting our display to "Listen to the Lights"

For those that are unable to visit, I have included links to videos of my display:

Our house made it in the local newspaper. Here is a link to the article: http://www.insidenova.com/isn/community/from_us/montclair_dumfries_triangle/article/in_montclair_literally_the_sounds_of_the_season/26049/

Hope you all enjoy!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays,

Thanks everyone. I love doing this and love that others enjoy it so much.

I've seen your house sooo many times!! Can't believe you're a forum member. It's about time I get to actually say congratulations to you! That is one AMAZING sight that never gets old!! AWESOME!

Backwoods - You've seen "mine" house several times? Wow! There are several others out there with even bigger and better displays. I'm glad you enjoy it.

Wondered about that myself...catch any grief from the grinches Harv???

Most of my neighbors are very cool with it and actually encourage me. The guy right next to me offered to help and we even discussing doing something together. My other neighbor is a little weird (and not just about my lights) but he still enjoys them.

Just out of curiousity, how long from step one to putting on a show does it take you? I would imagine you have to start hangin lights in July?!

I usually start the week after Halloween and go (off and on) until the weekend after Thanksgiving. Sequencing of the songs taking several hours each and I usually do this throughout the year. Building new elements (like my 6' star) usually happens during the summer.

By the way, I had some great traffic this weekend. Must have been a result of the newspaper article.

Guest Lauri Jo

that was beyond fabulous. And I thought that could only be done in movies. HA, great job. I am sure you get quite a crowd coming to take it all in.

You have wonderful Christmas spirit, keep it up.
