well, finally tagged out on our second last day of archery season. went out about 3 in my ground blind, and sent my cousin's husband to my stand. no sooner i was settled in a doe walks out but pins me right away...(i've busted her a few times leaving my blind) but luckily the Doghouse did the trick and she couldn't completely make me out. anyways, managed to get a 40yd shot through the heart. the arrow even broke the leg and definitely bent up the Rage, ah well. she went 60yds and piled up. finally got dark enough that i could head 'er back home without worrying about spooking deer for my partner, only to find out that he to had shot a doe (mine's bigger though, haha) . he doesn't hunt much, and this was his first bowhuntin' experience. needless to say, it was as if he shot a monster buck, he was pumped, and full of questions about how to go about tracking her. she to only went about 60yds. we were cutting it close, tomorrow's the last day, but it was definitely a good season, and looks like i'll have a new hunting buddy now. looking forward to next year's season. now the countdown 'till turkey begins, haha.

Congrats to both of you on your deer! It's always exciting to see someone get their first deer. I took one of my friends from the Niagara region out a couple weekends ago and he arrowed his first deer ever with his Excalibur crossbow. It was a nice fork horn, man was he ever pumped! :D:D

Where abouts in Ontario are you from?
