mrswtnhunt Posted December 20, 2008 Report Share Posted December 20, 2008 Afraid she may have to go back in for another surgery Monday morning. The doctor pulled the drain tube, the fluid pockets have maybe sealed up and the drain was not letting the fluid drain out like it is supposed to. To make matter worse, the drain tube has maybe caused an allergic reaction and Nicole has a rash all over her chest and up under her neck. The tube was made of latex. The doc removed the tube yesterday and the rash already looks like it is drying up some. She said it doesn't itch as bad. The area actually looks smaller this morning. I am going to watch it closely over the weekend and if I see any improvement I think I will cancel the exploratory surgery that the doc wants to do on Monday. I don't think we are giving her body enough time to absorb the fluid. I kinda feel that this doc maybe too quick to want to "cut". He is a great doctor and I respect his opinion but I don't think we are giving Nicole enough time to let her body recover from everything. She is already up this morning and running around like nothing has ever happened. Will keep you guys updated as things change. I deeply appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers. I am glad my husband can get on here and keep you guys updated regularly. I don't have alot of spare time with work and everything else going on. Again, thank you so much everyone. Thank you all for the prayers. The wife and I have decided that we are going to cancel the surgery scheduled for Monday morning and just keep a close watch.
